Caribbean Explosion!

Hi everyone, hope everyone is having an amazing week. I am going to start by apologizing for not blogging for while, I've been really busy with work and more work. Regardless, I am back and have something great things to share with you guys. Yesterday I had the great pleasure of trying a new recipe which one of my co-worker called Caribbean Explosion because of the colours and the hot spices. This recipe is really simple, and takes less than hour to do.  This recipe is simple yet amazing, the taste is all in the spices. I think this recipe depicts how easy it is to take something as simple and plain as rice and vegetables and turn into something  great.  P.S. Barley Salad with spicy Sauce

Hiya beautiful people, hope you've all had an amazing week full of adventures and great memories!!!  If you recall from my last post, I said I was spending the weekend trying different recipes which is what I did, and I must say I am very PROUD of the end results. I Manage to do two dishes, a main course and a side dish. Today I am going to blog about the side dish, Barley salad with spicy sauce. This recipe is amazingly simple, and has the potential of improvement and changes.  Ingredients  -2-3 cups of Barley  -2 Green onion -1 Cherry tomato  -1 or 1/2 Cucumber  -1 Yellow Bell pepper -1 1/2 tbsp of black pepper  -1 tbsp of chilli pepper (grounded)  -1 tbsp of red pepper flacks  -1/2 tbsp of sea salt  -2 tbsp of vinegar -1 tbsp of olive oil  Steps  1. Hi everyone, so continuing on my vegan recipes this is among my favor dish to make. Its very simple and doesn't cost much. Overall I spent about $20 which is pretty good because people think being a vegan is expansive, which can be sometimes. All the ingredients  can be  bought at your grocer store. If you live in Ottawa Canada, the Herb and Spice store is perfect because you get a discount if you are a student like myself, but mostly importantly all of their products are organic.  All the products used are organic.  -Green, yellow, and red bell pepper  -Tofu (firm) -Eggplant  -Apple (red ideally) -Curry Powder -Cumin Powder -Mexican chili powder -Salt -Olive oil   Direction:  To start cut the tofu and apple into little dices.
