Sunday Top Five

Image
So I thought it’s about time I bring back my Sunday top five. These are my Sunday top five, which are things that interest me, or I feel like everyone should know about. Moby-Dick; or The Whale by Herman Melville. I am currently reading this book and every time I find myself lost in the adventure, and completely lost in the voyage and the sailors’ pursuit of Moby-Dick. “Human madness is oftentimes a cunning and most feline thing. When you think it fled, it may have but become transfigured into small still subtler form” p. 268 @cyogalab June yoga Challenge. I love summer challenges, and this is the perfect challenge for me. For the next 30 days I will be posting 30 asana from the 30 days challenge calendar offered by cyogalab.  Orphan Black – I’ve recently started watching the show Orphan Black and I completely love it. I am really big on Sci-fi movies and TV shows and this show falls right in my ally. The thing love about the show is that it asks many questions p...

Long Weekend - stir fry potatoes and Sauté Swiss chard

Image
I hope every Canadian had a great adventurous Canada day. This long weekend was pretty good, full of adventures and fun times. On Canada day instead of going all crazy, and wild like any 20 something girl university student would on days like that; a friend and I went out for Mexican food at Ahora ; a really cute, and cool Mexican restaurant. We had some beaver tail on our way home, and watched the fireworks from the roof top of my house; which was a little hard to see because there was a tree blocking our path. Despite it, it was a good Canada day. Also on this long weekend I had the chance of going to the farmers market on the Byward Market.   I wasn’t able to get a lot of things, but managed to buy some yummy leafy greens, and another plant to add to my garden. I decided to be semi adventurous, and get Swiss chard; which I’ve never tried before, or even cooked. However, to my surprise it actually like it, and managed to create a recipe out of it...

Happy Friday!!Friday is finally here, and the weekend is just hours away. This week in Canada it is a long weekend with Canada day on July first. Of course there are a lot of things happening this weekend, however I am working all weekend so I am not sure that I will enjoy my weekend as I’d like to. On Saturday I am working, but I am closing so I’ll have time to do yoga which I haven’t done in a week, oh wait I actually did yoga last week, but I haven’t done hot yoga in two weeks; so it’s nice that I get a chance this weekend to do it. On Sunday I am working again, and on Canada Day Monday I am scheduled to work as well. Regardless, I am planning on have some fun after work hopefully if I am not tired after work.  If you are in Canada enjoy the long weekend with lots of friends, and Canada day activities; even better head down to the capital city and enjoy Canada day with performance with Carly Rae Jepsen, and Metric. For those ...

S alut tout le monde,  Another week and weekend as come and gone. Hope you've all had an incroyable weekend, to those who's weekend is about to start, have fun and be adventurous. Over the weekend I didn't have the chance of doing a lot of things, but I manage to fit some time for wine, I had the chance of going to one of my favourite restaurant, Blue Cactus the one place that servers the best nacho in Ottawa. I remember ordering small plate, but when the plate arrived I thought it was large. Also I had the chance of having two glass of pinot noir red wine.  Despite the less adventurous week, I manage to cook something really good that's vegan, vegetarian and eat eaters friendly. Pea and lentil soup, this was suppose to be a soup but it turned into dip, I could've added more vegetable broth, but I decided to go with the dip feeling, and it still taste and looks incroyable . Weekend adventure-Pinot Noir Ingredients :  1-2 cups green lentil (washed and res...
